Let me stand next to your fire! This colorful, one-of-a-kind painting encapsulates Jimi Hendrix’s US debut at the Monterey International Pop Festival in June 1967. While on stage, Hendrix doused his Fender Stratocaster guitar in lighter fluid and set it on fire.
The painting measures 36x 24 with a profile width of 3/4 in. The canvas is 100% cotton, was triple-primed with acid-free acrylic gesso, and has been finished with a coat of clear acrylic gloss medium to prevent discoloration. Canvas is back-stapled and has a gallery wrap to allow for frameless presentation.
